10th MASP Biennial Scientific Meeting 2026 (1st Announcement)

Venue: Monash University, Sunway City
Theme: The Invisible Burden: Intersection Between Neuropathic Pain and Mental Health

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the 10th MASP Biennial Scientific Meeting, organised by the Malaysian Association for the Study of Pain (MASP), taking place on 2-4 July 2026 at Monash University.

Theme: The Invisible Burden: Intersection Between Neuropathic Pain and Mental Health

Neuropathic pain remains a major challenge in modern healthcare. Despite advances in understanding and treatment, the psychological and emotional impact of persistent pain is still often under-recognised, and fragmented care limits truly person-centred management. This meeting will explore emerging evidence and how clinical pathways, training, and service design can better support integrated pain and mental health care, highlighting the need for coordinated, interdisciplinary approaches. MASP’s biennial meeting provides a platform to foster dialogue, strengthen professional networks, and promote care models that address the full burden of pain.

Highlights include:

  • 3 highly engaging pre-congress workshops
  • Plenary lectures by leading experts
  • Thematic symposia covering clinical, research, and service perspectives
