1st Congress of the Association of Southeast Asian Pain Societies

Venue: Hotel Philippine Plaza, Manila, Philippines

Organizer: Pain Society of the Philippines
Email: painsoc@i-manila.com.ph
Website: www.philnopain.org

Dear Colleagues,

We are honored that the Philippines was chosen to host the First Congress of the Association of the South East Asian Pain Societies (ASEAPS). This is a most anticipated event that heralds the binding of hands and hearts of five South East Asian countries namely, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand as they fight a human scourge-pain.

The Philippines, known as the "Pearl of the Orient," is a country with modern setting, yet maintains traditions and values. It boasts of the most beautiful sunsets, wonderful beaches, warm people with hospitable ways; always with a ready hand and a sunny smile. There are various sites that can be visited.

The scientific committee has prepared activities that will not only enhance knowledge in pain and its management but also updates in the latest discoveries in pain. The breadth and depth of PAIN in South East Asia will be addressed by the mentor countries in keeping with the convention theme, "ASEAN GOING GLOBAL: FILLING THE GAP BETWEEN BENCH AND BEDSIDE."

We invite you to this momentous event to be held in Manila, Philippines on November 29 to December 2, 2006.

Come and join us!
